INFECTED SHEEP.
Another batch of cases for exposing for sale sheep infected with Rce,. at the Matawhero kaleyards, yfras dealt with At the Magistrate's' Court, before Mr W. A. Barton, S-M-, this- morning, all the. alleged otfencfes ihAving' been committed on June 14 last. Mr T. A. Coleman appeared on behalf of Frank Martin/ Hodge, aaid m entering a plea df "guilty; ' said that^Mr /Hodge had bought the sheen at the sale ai/Te Kanaka, and had driven them straight from there? to Matawhero. He" had! bought them m alllgood faith -as" being properly dipped, but : he admitted that they were badly affected.^The . Magistrate said defendant would be convicted and. fined £3 with costs 7s. ;Mr Nolan appeared on behalf of Messrs Judd Bros., and pleaded guilty. A similar fine was' imposed— £3 and costs 7s.
