The annua! meeting HI the above cluh has been, fixed to take place On Tuesday evening riext, at 7.15, at the Royal hotel. At a committee meeting held last night, it , was decided _•> strike out the chain--pioooship singles and th© rose bowl eoriV 'petition, owing .to a large nuiriber of gariies not having been, complete 'owing ;to the wet weather of the past couple of months. Iri reference to the vite-presi- • dent's pairs; it was resolved , that Mr> Oonnell and Eaton play Thelwall amd Downey, to decide the winner of ,the< Saturday competition, the winner of the satae to play Nasmith and Urid-ge (mnriers oi the Thursday section) m the final. Notice of motion was given, to be moved at the annual meeting, that it be a recominendationi that the four priricipal dfficers of the club be -qominated seven days previous to the annual irieeting. It was also resoved to recommend tliat the rules oif the olub be revised. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Horton, of the Hastings nursery, for, a most generous donation of shrubs, roses, and climbers for the new green ; the same have" been planted, and make a great improvement to the general appearance of the grounds. Further donations will be- welcomed.
