, • Confirmation has been received, says Reivter, of the ; statement made in the Far Eastern Press that the Japanese Government has retroceded to Russia three of the warships taken during the Russo-Japanese War.
These are the battleships Sagami, formerly Peresviet, and Tango, formerly Poltava, both of 11,000 ton?, and the armed cruiser Soya, formerly Variag, of 12,500 tons, which was sunk Port Arthur and subsequently salved.
