WELLINGTON, last night. For the second day of tho Wellington races there was fine weather, a record attendance, and splendid Tacing, Desert Gold putting up record time for the Wellington Stakes. Tho totalisator handled £48,717, as against £40,258 last year. In tho W.R.C. Handicap First lanco fell and brought down Adjutant. First Glance's rider, Wovmald, had his leg broken. Additional results were : — ■ Fitzherbert Handicap. — MeneJaus 1, Elation 2,, Miiscot 3. All started. Won by two lengths, with a length between second and third. Timu, 1.20 1-5. While exercising this morning Belasco got awny with his boy and ran into the rails. The horse was so badly injured tliat it had to be destroyed. FOXTON, last night. Light rain fell all the 'morning until after the first race at the Foxton meeting yesterday. The attendance, under thc circumstances, was good, including a thousand ' men from Rangiotu Camp.
