A London correspondent writes: "The engines of a British submarine recently went wrong yhilst the vessel was within reach of the giant German guns on Heligoland. Half-a-dozen German trawlers, discovering the plight* of tha aofc. marine, surrounded it and called upon her commander fa surrender. He frightened five of them with his gun sent a crew on board the sixth— which was the most modern of the trawlers— and used the. trawler to haul the submarine baok to a British port, where he was able to report that _,c had not only captured a very fine trawler, but had also realised £75 from the.oatch of hah which he found on board her.
