BERLIN'S EXPLANATION.
COPENHAGEN, June 22. An official Berlin statement says no Order of Merit was conferred on the sinking of the Lusitania, but Captain Hersing, of U2l, received the Order as a reward for a 5000 milometre trip to the Dardanelles, which resulted m the sinking of two British warships.
