FALL FROM GASOMETER.
SYDNIvY, May 23. Eric Abery, 24, a raker, living m Berry street, North Sydney, had a remarkable escape from being fatally injured at the North Shore Gas Company's works, Oyster Cove, where he is employed.
Abery was working on the top of a gasometer, 50ft high, when he slipped and fell towards the ground. While falling, one of his arms caught m a loop m a rope about 20ft up, and he was swung against the gasometer. His left leg was injured, but he was able to grasp a railing and reach the ground.
