LIES FROM GERMANY.
LONDON, June 2. A German newspaper publishes a lictitious interview with a Canadian, who complains, of treatment by the British, and declares that the Germans are better soldiers than the English, who regard the Canadians as half-way between, colored troops and themselves. They ahrays send the colored first -under fire, and the Canadians where the shells are hottest. The English, only advance when we shed our blood. An English officer- is reported as j*aving that the Senegalese were mere cattle, to be driven to the front with a riding/ •whip. J German newspapers nspert that many English prisoners make an unfavorable impression. They are mostly factory hands out of work induced to enlist owing to bitter need and led to battle after three weeks' training.
