Sad was the news the paper brought, By far the saddest hews of all Alf " Kewley 's death;; the very thought Should make us heed our Country's call. • "Died of his Avounds," that's all it tells (With Aye must be satisfied) While fighting m; the Dardanelles. We only knoAv poor KeAvley died. Miles from the land that gave him birth, No doubt- with comrades by the score, He sleeps, alas, m foreign earth, While 4 cannons round nis grave niuyi roar. ■- \ ;.
