FIGHTING IN SOUTH AFRICA.
DE WET TO BE TRIED FOR TREASON. (Received February 8. 9 a.m.) PRETORIA, Feb. 7. The Germans attacked Kakamas and were repulsed with nine killed and twenty-two wounded. Fifteen were taken prisoners. One British soldier was killed and ttvo wounded. CAPETOWN, Feb. 7. De Wei. will shortly be tried at Bloemfontein for treason. After Kemp's surrender forty-nine rebels', disarmed by Germany, arrived at Upington.
