LONDON, Feb. 5. The Chicago wheat market is firmer as a result of unfavorable Argentine weather.' May options closed 4g cents higher, and July 4^ cents higher. The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand shows a profit of £54,510. A total dividend of 12£ per cent, is declared, £15,000 is addeci to the reserve, and £14,510 carried forward.
Short loans are discounted at J per cent, and three months' bills at liper cent.
Consols are quoted at £68 11s 3d. Silver is quoted at 22|d per ounce standard. Copper, spot, £62 2s 6d to £62. 7s 6d ; three months, £62 12s 6d to £62 17s 6d; electrolytic, £67 15s to £68 ss. Tin, spot,* £170 10s to £171; three months £152 10s to £153. Pig iion 56s 6d. Spelter £37. The sugar market is steady and unchanged.
Wheat : The market is very steady. Parcels of Manitoba February -March shipment sold at 65s 3d.
Flour. — The market is very firm. Australian store 46s 6d to 47s 6d. Barley: The market is firm. Australian Chevalier 40s to 43s'. '
Oats : The market is firm. Babia Blanca, January -February shipment, 30s 9d.
