MAJOR, SPEAKING WELL QF OUR BOYS.
(Keceivod F/ebruary 5, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 6. Major McClymont lias arrived, en route 'to New Zealand. He declared tue behaviour of the troops m Egypt was quite satisfactory.' The stories that a couple of men had been murdered for 'tearing the veils. *t>ff women was absolutely untrue. The troops were having a good time, but were anxious for real work to - begin. The organisation of tho British and Australasian cnmpß was splendid. Work was proceeding with the utmost smoothness. The Turkish army, was not taken seriously. The general opinion was that it was not keen to fight; anyhow the British were ready to give them all they wanted.
