(Per Press Association.! •WELLINGTON, this day. At the first wool sale of the season the bidding waa spirited. There was keen competition for all sound, wellgrown, wools. Crossbred sold particularly well, realising over 13d. oarser wools commanded good prices, and sold well up to and above values. Pieces and bellies were m extremely good demand, mainly on the part of fellmongers, • whilst crutohings were taken for Japan. Prices on tho whole for good, sound wools were over one penny above last year's rates. I
