ENEMY DEFEATED WITH HEAVY LOSSES.
.(Received November 18, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Nov, 17. The Press Bureau reports that since the occupation of Fao (m the Persian Gulf), two sharp actions have occurred m the vicinity. The enemy were defeated with heavy losses. Two machine guns were destroyed. The British casualties were' eight killed and 63 wounded, the latter,including* two officers.
