NAVAL WARFARE.
LONDON, Nov. 16. A surgeon on the warship Brilliant says: "You can't have' any conception of what a modern naval borrfbardment is like. There's a deafening roar of beg guns', which shakes the ship, .and an irritating smell of explosives. The enemy's shells are whistling overhead, while we have to contend with submarines, m the sea around andaeroplanes - hovering, overhead. It's a trial for the strongest nerves."
