Among the Liberals who voted m the interesting division was v Sir James Carroll. ' His • illness has reduced his weight, and has left him i-tfith a^: temporary limp, but his cheerfulness is unimpaired. His passage to the voting lobby was 'pleasantly/ obstructed by many friends of both parties, who were manifestly glad to see Gisborne's genial member.
