TE RAU (4) ; y. KIA ORA (1). This 'match , Avas sqnunvhat of a. farce, inasmuch as Kia ; Ora. only mustered six men and Te Rau seven. The latter had all the best ' of the argument, and won. by four goals to one . Messrs Stace and Noble .were 'referees. LADIES' MATCH. With a view to the selection of a ladies', team to be pitted against the English ladles* touring team ; on August 12th, another A and B match was played yesterday afternoon. Some interesting play Avas witnessed. B. Pearco>found the net twice for the Bs, and- then the A's took a hand, and W. East and M. Fairlie scored. The selector ,'■ Avas ; present, and changed some of the players to various .'positions, and the game 'Avas continued fori an extra quarter of an hour, during' which Molly Ferguson 1 and ' • -E,' Millar scored for the A, team, Messrs Cassin and - Roderick were the. referees. Whilst six- or soven players are assured of inclusion m the representative team, the selector finds a, difficulty, m filling some of "the positions. ' Another trial match' Avill be .played next' week, after which the tcam-Avlll probably- be selected.
