SUDDEN DEATH.
The death occurred tQ-day of Mr Robert Berry, who died suddenly at Jiis residence,- Raimoe, Patutahi. ' The deceased gentleman, who' Ijad reached the ripe -age of 80 years, was m town only the other day., and appeared to be m good health: This .morning he was working m his garden, and about midday he. went inside, and complained of a pain m his head. 'He went to lie down for a rest, but shortly*. afterwards he passed awayv Mir Berry met with an accident about three months ago. He was entering his gate, when a vehicle passing along the road ran ' over Kirn. He was severely shaken, and sustained a 1 broken arm, and ever since he had complained off and on of the pain m his head. v ,
The late Mr Berry was one of the pioneer- settlers of Tiniroto.He was born at Rnesboro, Yorkshire, , and came to New Zealand m 1880, arid .'was fanning m Canterbury for a few years. He came to Gisborne 25 years ago, having purchased a farm at Tinirbto. For the past seven or eight, years lie has resided at Makaralca, and recently shifted to Kaimoe, PatutaM. He leaves a widow, a son and daughter (Mr James Berry, of Tiniroto, arid Mrs Golding, who resides m the South. Island)' to mourn their loss. '
