Mr L. T. Shone, who hag been ployed on the staff of Messrs Ohrisp and Son. left by the s.s. Vfarrimoo last Evening to Join tlhe staff of t,he Dresden Piano Company, n,t Hastings. During the time he has resided m Gisborne Mr Shone has taken a keen interest iji musical matters. He is an accomplished pianoforte player, .and has on many occasions willingly presided, at the piano at local functions and. musical entertainments. At the Masonic hotel on Saturday afternoon, he was accorded, a send-off by a -number, of ,his Gisbprne friends, and presented with a travelling rug. Mr F. Teat, who presided, mads the presentation, and spoke m eulogistic terms of Mr Shone' s ( many good? qualities. Other gentlemen who spoke to the toast of "The Guest", were Messrs Charles Adair (.Savage Club), J. ,H. Jones and Graham.
