POVERTY BAY DOG TRIALS.

The following additional special prizes have been awarded : — x Silver cup, presented by Mr W. D. S. Mac Donald, M.P., for best team of three dogs (one m each class), the bona fide property of competitor ; each dog to .score at least 15 points m his class ; winner to hold cup for one year; to be w|on tjwice before becoming) absolute property of winner. — Won by E. Hingston with Maid, Jock, and Jock M. Silver cup, value £5 ss, presented by Mr A. Saunders for best team of three dogs (one m each class), the bona fide property of competitor; each dog to score at least 15 points m his class ; to be won twice before becoming absolute property of winner; competitor: not to be less than six months on the road. — Not awarded. Silver cup, value £5 ss, presented by Mir A. Bellamy, for the runner-up to Mr Mac Donald's cup; to.be won twice, or three times at intervals. — Won by M. Sullivan's Rag (29), Lass (18), and Don (27). Bougen and dogs. Owing to no dog fulfilling the necessary conditions, several of the abovementioned cups were not awarded, and these will be heldvover until next year.

At the meeting of the Poverty Bay Dog Trial Club on Wednesday evening, Mr G. E. Jones presiding, it was decided ip recommend to the incoming committee tliat class IH. next year be a short head and yard. When the sheep break back from competitors m the huntaway the committee m future are to leave them v alone instead of phshing them on again. A dog must, put tho sheep through the first set of flags m half the total time allowed, or he will be called off. Mr F. Calcott lias donated a bell to the club.

Rule \: "That competitors must be members" of the club, or any recognised club, providing such club extendsXthe same privilege to members of this club," was deleted the regulations. It was proposed by Mr A. Waugh, seconded by Mr 0. Neenan, that an East Coast Association be formed, and that delegates be appointed to confer with delegates from other clubs, and that the secretary write to' the different clubs, asking them to appoint delegates to confer with the Poverty Bay delegates. The motion was carried, and Messrs G. E. Jones, P. Oalcott, J. T. Herbert, and E. Hingston were appointed delegates. A vote of thanks was passed to Miss Neenan for her kindness m assisting the cldbwith their social, and alsp for her generosity m lending the club her piano. Last evening another social was held m the Ormond hall, when the presentation of prizes took place. There was a good attendanoei and a pleasant evening was spent.
