Considerable interest was manifested m the final of the district match played yesterday afternoon. The match was close and exciting from start to finish. Whataupoko succeeded m defeating City, the holders' by three points. The scores were: — Whataupoko*. R. Crawford, Allan, Greig, Craig (skip) 21 v. City : Thelwall,' J. P. Pettie, R. Robertson, J. Martin (skip) 13. Whataupoko: Seymour, Corson, Bullock, Crawford (skip) 16 v. City: Colebrook, Harris, Wootton, Smith (skip) 21. Totals : Whataupoko 37, City 34.
