Tlie Prime Minister informed" your correspondent that it will be cut up for suburban holdings. It is only ten minutes' steam by' the 1 ferry' from Auckland City. I understand that there is a prospect of the Auckland City Council approaching the Government* to buy_ the block. Legislation- with that object "has already come before' Parliament. '
