RABBIT BOARD.

The .monthly meeting of the East Coast Rabbit Board was held this morning. Present : Messrs E. M. Hutchin- 1 SOn r (chairman), W. D. Lysnar, J. U. Field', and W. Ross^ Inspectors Tjniner. (Wairoa) and MeG-nT (Op'ouiaf were I 'also present. The Hawke's Bay Rabbit .Board forwarded a copy of their inspector's report on the .joint., inspection mad.c by him and Inspector Turner- pf ' the M*saka, country. In his 'report,' Inspector ii.' J. Campbell stated that a start ,-had. been, made on the Moliaka' station ; no rabbitp or indications were met with during their travels, on that r-Un. : Ponui was.' next inspected, . with like... results ; ditto Waikare statibn., A portion of Putorino Was gone over, but nothing of a, sensational nature was found, a few indications being, met with. .They next visited Tutira, .where, rabbits were supposed to be numerous.' Two rabbits were seen at the ton of Mahora' cutting (since the /date ,-of -inspection- this particular place has, been poisoned) . Signs were discovered on Glenbrook m one place, arid oil Kahariki m three places, one rabbit being*- killed and another one started. A portion of Spring : Hill was gone over,, and was .found),. to be m a satisfactory, state. He spent a night on the.
