PATHE PICTURES.
A typical holiday "house" greeted the presentation of a sterling series of pictures of His Majesty's Theatre last evening, and meted out ■warm approbation as the films were shown. The leading subject was a Cines d rani a, detailing the story of an abduction and cut litled, "Rival Adventurers." The ploi is participated m by two rival lovers, and the eYciits which follow the sudden iisappeiirahce of Mascar's bride until 3he is subsequently recovered are of a thoroughly, thrilling character. There ire many other splendid pictures m this scries, including- a vivacious Vita comedy, "Count IJaiber," one ol lhe : extremely humorous and ingenious- efforts for which this company is marklcd. The same series will be shown to-night. The advent of "Quo' Vadis," styled as the moving picture triumph of * tho age, is being anticipated with high interest, and there shoultl be a big house to welcome Us. initial showing to-morrow afternoon. ■•■'.■- ■•
