New Zealand, with four wickets down m their second innings, continued. Reese accompanied Taylor to the wickets, but was cleap bowled m Barstow's first over. Robinsoii and Taylor then made a stand. Robinson scored rapidly, and had the honor of hoisting the century. Becoming overeager, ho went out to Downey, and was stumped. Taylor appeared set, when lie returned the ball to Downey, who accepted the chance. Sandman jumped out at a tempting thing, and was stumped. Bennett played a brilliant innings, bilt had the misfortune to go out leg before to Barstow. The score was increased to 161, when Patrick, who played sure cricket, was caught by Rowe at leg off Bars Tow. Queensland opened their second ininings badly, Fennelly being clean bowled by Robinson's first ball. Farquhafr aritl Rowe succumbed;to Reese, and three 1 wickets were down for seven runs. Prout and Marshall checked the t-out, and thfe fourth wicket fell at 01. The fielding was very good, Hickmott being particularly, .brilliant, and the bowling was difficult At 71 the fifth wicket fell. Two othetfjs went down before the score was increasi cd.
