ROWING.

The weekly committee meetlnfe of the Gishorne Rowing Club was held in the boathouse last evening. There were pre.sent: Messrs Cowan (in the chair). Winter, Jeffreys, Quigley, Hanson, Faram, Pycroft, Gerrard, and ItutUm. A letter was received from Mr G. Norton, of Wellington, staling that the new double-scull on order was ready foi* ship- • ment, but was being delayed on account of the strike. The following new members were elected:—H. D. Anderson, J. W. Holmes, H. G.' Hogg, P. Stubbs. It was decided that the races for the Buscke and Pettie fours should commence on Tuesday, 25th November, and that entries for the next fours should close in the shed on 30th inst., at 10a.m. ,Aj selection committee for? this season was' appointed, consisting of "Messrs Hansen, Pycroft and Quigley. ■ Messrs. Winter and Pycroft were appointed -a visiting committee for the ensuing week. . The following crews have been selected for the next lot of fours:— A grade (C. Buscke's trophies).— H.
