Doke, who was for seven, years minister of, the Oxford Terrace Baptist ' Chiftch m this city. For the list \en years V Mr Doke has takep, a prominent pari ih Ghtirch life-; m !south Africa. During a reoetnt mission journey ;to IJmtali, -m Central Rhodesia; Mr Doke . cbntracl-ed enteric fever, and he died m. the hospital m that town before any of his friends could reach him. Last yaar Mr Doke published a South 'African romance, "Thi*- Secret City," which attained a wide circulation. V *
