The annual ball giA-en by thc> Poverty Hay Hunt Club was held m the Scottish Society's hall last evening, and as it had ahvays been m past years, Ava.s a- great success. The hall was artistic-
;,lly decorated ■, A\ith > bunting- and 'greenery, and the dazzling glare of the i leetric lamps Avas softened by red shades. The large number . of pretty I' nicks worn v made' it the gayest scene witnessed on a dancing floor this season. The arrangements, Avhich Avere excellent, Avere controlled' by a capable committee, comprising Alesdames Gaddum, VV. Sherratt, Hine, R. Sherratt, Pattullo, Riuidall Shemttt, X. Sherratt, Hokten, Humphreys, and , Fnsor, Aliases Black, Sherratt, and Reynolds (hon. sec), but -special credit is due to Aliss Reynolds, who worked hard for the success of the evening. ... The music Avas supplied by Messrs Vita Bros.' orchestra, and the floor being .m. .perfect order,, made the dancing dehghtful. Alessrs • Dinxmock, W. G. . ; Sheiratt, HoldsAvorth, and .Stadcey officiated r-s Al.'sC. The supper provided by the ladies of the club was all that could be desired, and the evening was pronounced by one and all as the roost enjoyable, dance this season .
