MEETING OF ASSOCIATION,
The small number of cricket enthusiasts •that put m an appearance at the annual general meeting of the Poverty Bay Cricket Association called for last evening does' not speak well for the success of cricket , this season, vif players accept the position of delegates for their clubs they should attend and voice the wants of the body they.., rfißreseai,__ instead, of leaving it to a few to run the association. ' Those who never attend meetings are often the first' to complain when anything goes amiss, and it bahoves cricketers to be represented at. the annual meeting, because it is then the various committees that deal with matters relative, to the interests of cricket during the season "are elected. The meeting. last night "was, on' account of the absence of . a sufficient number of club, delegates to make the meeting m order," adjourned until next Monday night, when it is hoped that, for tlie sake of cricket m this district, there will be a good attendance.
