Cable advice had been received m Gisborne that the company -was •m the hands of the liquidators, but this had not been communicated direct to thim. Further, Mr Wiiians, stated that he was not going Home oft the business of the company, but to find; outi his own, position. Questioned regarding the prospects of tha oil industry m this district, Mr Willans said. that his company had been hampered by lack of funds for development work. He believed.. in the prospects here, but was not prepared;' to discuss the matter. An agent' for the Official Receiver of the company.., has beenj appointed* m Gisborne.
