PATHE PICTURES.

A new Hwo-*eel production of the beautiful IrislTstory, "Kathleen Mavourneeh, will be the bright constellation m the new programme which Pathe Pictures will introduce as ' the week-end change at His Majesty's Theatre tonight. The charming story is splendidly produced by the fidisoh Company, amid an appropriate environment. The part of Kathleen is brilliantly takefc by that popular- actress; Mary Fuller, who makes as pretty and winsome a. colleen as has ever surely been seen. Kathleen's fresh beauty attracts the haughty' Lord' Kavanagh, who proposes marriage; Imt K&th. leen is also loved by Terence, a lighthearted Irish lad. The girl dreams that she becomes Lady Kayanagh, and the terrible revelations which come, to her make her fly to the arms of Terence. The popular Irish story has never been more charmingly presented than m this fine film. A clean, clever Vitagraph comedy is "The Man Higher Up," m which the inimitable John Bunny is seen m one of his happiest roles. "Dr Maxwell's Experiment" is a powerful and remarkable drama. The doctor hears of a new operation upon Ihe brain which changes a criminal into an honest man. He tries the experiment upon a burglar he catches m the house. The burglar becomes a successful man, and .advertises for a stenographer. Dr. Maxwell's daughter, Alice, applies for the .position and shows her new employer a letter stating that morphine and speculation have " ruined her father. D^&wson, the burglar, marries Alice. One day a derelict enters Dawson's house, and he turns out to be Dr. Maxwell, who lives with them for the remainder o4 his life. An exceptionally 'interesting sdenic study is that showing "Maori .Aquatic Sports," wliil« a film which will riv^t attention w that showing scenes of the .recent disastrous floods m the basin of the Missis- | sippi. The othejvnlms are all of merit.
