Tba report of the Australian Jockey Club shows thut after expending £21,690 m improvements- and £62,750 m add-id money, tlio esfcsbn ended with i surplus of; £16,857. Tha added money provided for the ourrent season would bs £70,750. This provides for increases of prizes as follows : — Spring Stakes to £1500, Riandwick Plate £2000/ Gvanthain Stakes £750, Villiers Stakes £1000, December Stakes £1250, Summer Cup £1500, ; Anniversary Handicap £10C0, Autumn Stakes £1500, A.J.C. Plate £2CCO, and Sdres Produce Stakes £2500. Priz3s for othitr events are increased by £50 to £250. The leport states that the control by stipendiary stewards had proved quite satisfactory.
