In order to relieve the tension the Government has addressed a Note to Bulgaria suggesting a reduction of troops to one-fourth.

It is pointed out that other compensations than territory are open to Servia, such as commercial access to tho /Egean Sea 'coast. This is the chief reason of the Servian objection to Bulgaria acquiring Monastir'and dia : tricts west of Vatdar.
