" She hadi been told by her foster-mother to u?a kerosene when' dressing her hair, and, having done so, she allowed her head to come in contact with a lighted candle. In a moment her hair was in flames. She endeavored to extinguish th'm with her hands, which were severely burned. On being admitted to the hospital it was found that her head was badly burned, as well as her hands, besides which she was prostrated by the shock. Her hair was nearly all burned off.
