(Press Assu.— By Telegraph— Copyright.) (Received- June 5, 2.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 4. There was brilliant wtauier ior Derby Day. Their Majesties the King and Queen and the Duke of Connaugnt were present.
There was a record crowd in attendance.
THE RACE
Aji excellent start was effected. Aboyeur dashed away, and/ Craganour moved into second place when descending the bushes at tlie hill. Aboyeur was still leading at Tottenham Corner, Craganour, Shogun, and Day Comet following. Louvois joined issue at the distance, arid a tremendous tussle resulted. Craganour, challenging, won in a bumping finish, by a head, Louvois a neck behind Aboyeur. F. Wootton, on Shogun, was uailucky. He attempted to get through on the inside twice, but failed.
The time was 2.37 3-5,
FIRST DISQUALIFICATION
SINCE 1844. Mr A. P. Cunliffe, owner of Aboyeur, declined -to lodge a protest, but the stewards took the initiative. They examined J. Reiff, who was riding Craganour, and Piper, the rider of Aboyeur. It is the first 'disqualification since 1844.
