AUCKLAND, this day. There is little room for doubt that Rukutai's case is true • smallpox. He has not been out of Auckland since he returned from the football tour to Australia nearly twelve months ago. In view of the recent outbreak of suspicious sickness among Maoris in the Whangarei district, inquiry has been made, but failed to establish any possible connection between the Maoris there, who were eventually announced to be. suffering, from -chicken-pox, and Rukutai's- case. /
