In the House of Representatives, Mr Steenerson introduced a .'Bill enabling foreign vessels to participate in American coastwise trade through the Panama Canal.
President Wilson declared that'hewaa in favor of free meat, cattle, sheep, hogs, wheat and oats.
As President Wilson swung tho House of Representatives to agree to free wool and sugar, it is - considered likely that he will be able to influence the Senate similarly.
-he Senate Committee declared in favor of reporting free meat.
