DOUBLE FIRE AT DUNEDIN.

DUNEDIN, this day. A double fire occurred on the premises of Lambert and Go-, jewellers, Princes street. The first outbreak was promptly suppressed. At 2.30 this morning it uroke out afresh in the upper portion of the premises, which were gutted. These were occupied by Stenhouse, confectioner. Lambert and Co., whose stock was much damaged by water, were insured ia tha Standard office for £190.
Lambert and Co.'s premises, where the fire occurred, was owned by 'Mrs Lake and Miss Mitchell, and was insured for £525 in the New Zealand office. Sterihouse's stock and fixtures were insured for £250 in the Phoenix Company, and for £25 in the New Zealand office.
