'' This season is a closed one in Canterbury for imported and native game, and. five men were charged at the Police Court this- morning .with jfaibuig to ob-i---serve this protection '^yV^iasori^ native game." Defendants were" David Hunter, Walter • H, , Overton, . A r . M. Loasby , Percy C. Loasby, and' Thomas Davidson. The charges against Hunter and Overton, were dismissed, and the Bench inflicted a fine of £3 and costs on each of the other three defendants. f
