The River Plate shipments of muttorv for the week totalled 239,030 carcases, lamb 80,250 carcases, frozen beef 148,500 cwt., chilled beef 314,000 cwt.

The Department pf Agriculture has re-, ceived the following cable from Buenqs Ay res. dated 3rd tnst.:— The following shipments of produce were 'despatched from Argentine to the United Kingdom quringf May. 1913 (compared with May, 1912): Frozen beef, 191,3 165,000 quarters. 1912 153,000 quarters; chilled beef, 282,000' and 209,000; frozen mutton carcases, 161.---000 and 171,000; frozen lamb carcases, Qi.ooo and 109,000; butter. 15C5 cwt and 275 2Wt.
