The German press generally ridicules the scheme formulated by >the 'American Secretary>.of State, .Mr Bryan; for the negotiation of treaties of -peape- between America and other with a view to: the ultimate abolition of war. One of the Berlin dailies, the Neueste Nachrichten, says: "Mir Bryan is m a great hurry to become .an international laughing-stock. We must flatly decline to have asi a guidance for our policy the Sickly, agitator's twaddle with which he has been tickling ignorant, conceited Yanktee brains." •
