CRIME WAVE IN EGYPT.
GAOLS TOO COMFORTABLE. LONDON, April SO. Crime m Egypt is on. the up-grade, and judges and police are disbouraged. Juvenile crime has increased four-fold during the last decade, and the reforma. tones are insufficient to, accommodate the youthful offenders, who have had to be put m the gaols. It is noticeable that the growth is largest m Cairo, and it is suggested that the gaols are too comfortable.
