The Royal Mail Steam Pae(t.*t Company's Aragon, which sailed for South America, carries two 4.7 guns mounted on the poop. Other British liners that traverse the principal trade routes will be similarly equipped. The Admiralty lend the »<£uns, supplying the ammunition, and training portion of each ship's company as a gun crew.
