ONLY FORMAL COMMITTEE STAGE
(Press Assn.— By Telegraph— Copyright.) (Received May 8, 10.20 a.m.) LOW DON, May 7. Replying to Mr Bonar Law, the Premier (Mr Asquith) said there would bo only a formal committee stage of the Home Rule, Disestablishment, and Scottish Temperance Bills. The usual procedure would be a M r aste of time, since any amendment would destroy the identity of the Bills. Mr Bonar Law retorted : "Then our discussion will be a complete farce." Messrs Birrell, McKenna and Ure reintroduced the three Bills, which were not discussed.
