A £15,000 CLAIM.
ARCHITECT SUES AUCKLAND I EDUCATION BOARD. i
An important case is to come up for private arbitration at Auckland to-day, m which a claim is being made by Mr Stanley Jeffries, contractor (formerly architect, of Napier), against the Auckland Education Board, for the sum of £15,000, alleged to be due to lurn^ m connection with the building of the Seddon Memorial Training College. ! The original contract was let to Mr Jeffries for £20,889. His claim is for extras on the contract, for losses m time, alleged to have been caused by. the Board's servants, and losses m interest. The claims as set forth &:e exceedingly involved, and it is expected that the case will occupy considerable time, as numerous witnesses will be called on both sides.
