NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PROMOTE A LOCAL BILL. NOTICE' is hereby given that the Gisborne Harbor Board intends to ! promote m the forthcoming session of j Parliament. ;a local. Bill,'.' the! objects <»r wliioh are as- follows:—^ ~ :., 1. To borrow the* sum of £200,000 at 5 per cent, for such per iou as the Board thinks .fit,', with £ per cent, sinking fund. . 2.. Such, sum of £200,000 to be expended: as follows:— With the unexpended, balance and accumulated sinking fund of the loan of £200,000 borrowed by the Board m- the year 1885, to discharge and ; pay off, the debentures of the said loan ' f when the same matures (this sum is estimated to be £75,000). To provide a sum of £17,000. f0r, the, extension of the present Breakwater ' ' contract. To provide a sum of £90,000 for iiew works proposed by the Board's Engineer, and to provide a* sum of £18,000 'to pay off the Board's Bank overdraft. 3. Such sum to be raised by issue of debentures secured upon rents, profits, and dues receivable by the Board as harbor and other dues, and a. special rate upon the oapital value of all rateable lands m the Gisborne Harbor District. • ■A.
