DEATH IN A SEWER.
BRAVE ATTEMPT AT RESCUE. LONDON, Jan. 8; A number of men were working in an outfall sewer in -Dublin yesterday morniiig. It was feared that foul gas had collected in a .section of the tunnel, and one of the men went in a,nd was over,come by the fumes. . A second man wsnt to the rescue of the first, and the same fate befell .him, while a third and a fourth who tried to geti at their comrades were also stricken senseless by the gas. When, ultimately, the four bodies were got to the surface the first man was found to be dead and the .oiliers were in a critical state.
