Colonel Seely, replying to questions, said that no funds were available to supply the national reserve with practice ammunition. It Avaa intended to organise a, reserve defence against invasion, but not to supply rifles, ammunition, or uniform.
At the inquest into the fire at Barker and Co.'s premises, a verdict of occidental death was returned. Barklers are compensating the injured with gifts of three years' wages beyond the legal claims.
Besides the legacies previously referred to in the "cables, Mr Bnrtlett has •bequeathed the residue of £50,C05 to the Liverpool Cathedml.
From now on imprisonment will follow non-pa-vment of fMies, impc-sad on Territorials not attending the summer camps.
