The sea was rough at Cape Maria, to-day, moderate at Russell .and ,Tiritiri, smooth at Tau Tpnga, East Cape; Gisborne, Napier, and further south, excepting Cape Campbell, where it was moderate;- it .was. considerable at Hoki anga and Kaipara, smooth at Wanganui, considerable at Farewell Spit, and moderate al Westport and Greyihouth. WEATHER FORECAST. The report issued last night 6tates: "Pre sent' Indications are for a falling barometet everywhere shortly, the winds backing from southerly by. west to northerly moderate to strong m force. Fair to cloudy weather is probable generally,, with passing showers. and misty m parts." To-day's forecast states: "Northerly strong to gale, veering by west to tsouth.
