The Council of the Rugby TJniori considered to-mght a letter from the English Union, stating that, the South African Union had accepted- Jin invitation to send a team to Britain m the season 1912-13; as guests of the English, Scotch, Welsh, and Irish Unions, and asking if a datfi coiild be arranged and wheUier a combined Australian-New Zealand team could be sent, The Council replied that whilst not agreeing to the combination as the settled •policy of «the Union for future tours, it was agreeable, m the interests of the game, to join Queensland and New' Zealand m sending a team to meet any special case, though there would be difficulties m regard to the-selec-tion and gathering of the 'team.
